We are delighted to share the Plant A Tree Project of Sidratul Muntaha Foundation. We have planted 40 Red Chandan (Red Sandalwood) in Shekarikandi village, Matlab Uttar, Chandpur. The activities included preparing the soil, carefully planting the saplings, watering them, and learning about the importance of environmental stewardship. The project contributes to environmental sustainability by improving air quality, reducing pollution, preventing soil erosion, and creating habitats for wildlife.
The name "Sidratul Muntaha" refers to the blessed Lote Tree mentioned in the Qur'an, symbolizing beauty, growth, and nearness to Allah. Planting trees reminds us of our duty to care for the Earth and appreciate the blessings that Allah has provided. The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam taught that planting a tree is a rewarding act, and whenever people, animals, or birds benefit from it, the planter receives ongoing rewards sadaqah jariyah.
